10 Secret Ways Video Games PUNISH You For Acting Stupid
3. Powerful Ending - The Stanley Parable
The Stanley Parable is not a game with stakes. You're just supposed to walk around and enjoy the narration of your misadventures, so there are hardly any deadly situations to speak of.
However, if you still somehow manage to get yourself killed within the safe four walls of Stanley's office, the game will be sure to really drive home just how dumb it is to die in a game with no mortal dangers.
The so-called Powerful Ending is the one-of-a-kind secret ending to the Stanley Parable that triggers after you jump off a moving platform.
Even though the game makes it obvious that moving off the platform is dangerous, if you still decide to do it, the game will fade to black, and then the narrator will sarcastically congratulate you for showing everyone how much in control of the story you are by finding the one way to take your own life.
The game even has an even more ridiculous variant of this ending if you jump off the platform with a bucket. The narrator will comment that Stanley loved his bucket so much, he decided to commit suicide so that they could never be separated again.
What a way to, pardon the pun, kick the bucket!
