10 Settings Assassin's Creed Could Go To Next

9. World War One

The WW1 period is the most challenging prospect among these entries. However, if Ubisoft wanted to take the franchise in a completely surprising direction, then this would be an insightful choice.

We have already seen plenty of games based around WWII, and a few based on the first, but nothing that truly steps out of bounds in regards to how we would expect a world war game to play. By taking the player and letting them act as an Assassin in this environment, gamers would have an entirely new way to approach this horrible conflict.

One of the biggest challenges would be how to involve gunplay into the title, but it could act as a great way to highlight the skill of an Assassin by allowing you to avoid bullets.

Assassin's Creed is a series known for its stealth and free-running, and while there aren't too many tall buildings in the trenches, there would still be plenty of architecture to explore in nearby environments.

Everything would point to this being a ground-breaking and subversive instalment for the franchise, and that would at least make this project memorable.
