5. Maiden Astraea (Demon’s Souls)
The best weapon in the entirety of Demon’s Souls isn’t the giant two-handed Dragon Bone Smasher, it isn’t the beautiful Greatsword of Moonlight, and it isn’t even the impressively upgraded Northern Regalia.
It’s a bow.
More specifically, I guess you could say it’s a Sticky Compound LongBow+5, but the point is, a bow in the right hands of a high dexterity character is absolutely lethal for the stinkiest of cheesy strategies.
Maiden Astraea can give the average player some problems. She sits at the edge of a hugely poisonous swamp filled with tiny corpses that inflict you with the deadly plague, and between her and you stands her hulking bodyguard, Garl Vinland.
However, you can completely bypass both of these obstacles by standing above her and simply shooting her over and over again with your arrows. Do enough damage per shot and you’ll even slowly out-damage her heals, all in the comfort of complete safety!
