10 Specific Reasons To Get Hyped For 2016's Biggest Games

Ten landmark releases, ten defining features we'll be talking about for years to come.

Much like last year, we find ourselves at the beginning of what could be an amazing year for gaming. Big titles like Street Fighter V and Far Cry Primal are already available, but the year's just getting started. It should be easy to get hyped for each big game instalment, but as a gaming community it's easy to remain skeptical until something actually comes out. Far too many games in the past have been built up beyond belief (looking at you, Destiny) and have burned us hard at release when we bought into the pre-release footage (still looking at you, Destiny). It's easy to remain pessimistic and hardened against the idea of getting excited, as the feeling of disappointment is never enjoyable by any means. However, that shouldn't prevent you from getting excited for what 2016 has to offer - in fact, optimism should be the go-to word, as this year has plenty of promise in every respect. First-person parkour, demon-slaying, time-manipulation, first-person space simulators - even a return to a classic childhood series that hasn't seen a sequel in years. The biggest games of 2016 are lining up to drop every month, and here are 10 specific reasons to be very excited for them.
