10 Star Wars Video Games We Wish EA Would Make
Four words: For Honor. With lightsabers.
It has been five years since EA acquired the sole rights to develop Star Wars games, and we have seen only two of them release, both of which are in the same series and were met with critical and commercial backlash. It is safe to say that the rights to one of the most popular franchises of all time are being squandered and wasted, with very few promising titles coming down the pipeline.
Which is a shame, because it's like EA stumbled upon a goldmine and decided they would be better suited prioritising their coal endeavours. There are so many possibilities for games set in the Star Wars universe that would almost everyone would be interested. These ten barely even scratch the surface.
So, considering the fact that EA is struggling to keep faith with their fans and the gaming community, here are ten games that, were they to be made and released, would likely keep EA looking at least somewhat favourably in the public eye.
To put it simply, we want more Star Wars games and there are far too many great ideas for them not to get put to best use.
10. VR Lightsaber Game
VR is screaming out for a Star Wars lightsaber game. Considering the success and appeal of Beat Saber, there is a massive market for a more combat-oriented experience in which you wield the weapons.
Putting the player in the shoes of a Jedi or Sith, with the explicit purpose of carving up fools with lightsabers sounds incredible. There wouldn't have to be any story, just satisfying combat and a mode in which you can fight never-ending hoards of enemies.
Technology is finally at a place to make players feel like badasses, and the only logical next step is to slap Star Wars on it and give VR a truly brutal lightsaber experience. Easy.
