7. Bill And Hilary Clinton In NBA Jam: Tournament Edition
Because when I think of a game franchise that needed help dating itself, I think of NBA Jam. Back in the day, I figured I was just too young to get the joke. Now, as a full grown adult, I figured out that the joke is "Bill Clinton doing mad dunks" with a side of Hilary Clinton committing flagrant fouls, which, on the spectrum of jokes Midway told over the years, ranks just under War Gods (i.e. a reasonable amount of funny). To be fair, there were a lot of hidden characters in Tournament Edition; the Beastie Boys, Heavy D, even a Rick Moranis look-a-like named Stud Muffin. This was a period of time when Midway put codes in pretty much every game they put out, which just leads to the natural follow up question of why they thought it appropriate to only put the Clintons in the basketball game and not, say, Mortal Kombat. Maybe we can finally remedy that with the current reboot.
