This may come as a surprise to many of you as the ancient bow only does a base of 44 damage, one less than the Savage Lynel bow which can shoot three of five arrows whereas this item only shoots one. At a glance, this weapon seems underwhelming, however when wearing a full set of ancient armour, the attack bonus is incredible.

Most arms can receive such a boost from wearing a full set of armour of the same type, however the Ancient Bow has an incredible 80% damage mark up, meaning it can do 79 damage in a single shot. Unlike a multi-shot bow, this damage is more reliable and can quickly wipe out any single enemy.

Furthermore, with a potion of Attack Up 3 this bow’s damage can ascend into triple digits which is absolutely game-breaking on a ranged attack. Because of this, the Ancient Bow wins the title of the best weapon in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
