For the most part, reliving the adventure of Banjo-Kazooie is a playful, colourful experience that sets everyone who played it down a pleasant nostalgia trip when they pick up the game again after a lengthy time out.

Clanker, however, is a creature who might reopen a few more darker memories.

Located in Clanker's Cavern in the original Banjo-Kazooie title, Clanker is something resembling a cyborg shark having had a whole load of metal cased over his body quite some time before players find him in the game. He can be swum into via his mouth, blowhole or gills, but his most distinguishable feature has to be those bulging eyes that seem to follow you around wherever you swim.

The impressive size of the guy alone is enough to send a shiver down your spine, but the task of swimming around Clanker as you attempt to hold your breath long enough is where the adrenaline gets pumped up another level. Whilst he might not be a bad guy in the villain sense, there's just no way of getting over the unsettling feeling about having to swim around a chained up massive shark at the bottom of a large cavern.
