Lara Croft and her Tomb Raider series have become known for their expansive deep settings, reasonably impressive graphics for the time and immense replayability thanks to their exciting levels based around exploration. One thing it has not made a name for itself for is sudden jump scares from long-extinct dinosaurs.

In the original edition of the very first Tomb Raider, the T-Rex, located for the first time in The Lost Valley, was one of the largest enemies found in the game and there's no way to escape it. This meant that the game essentially left the player to their own devices and demanded they take down this titan on their own and with very little direction. This big guy isn't going to go easy on you either, roaring away and flying at you almost immediately.

The best way to beat this baddie is by hunkering down in one of the level's tight corners and letting loose with your guns and explosive weaponry, which should eventually bring him down. Like every good bad guy though, these huge dinosaurs will be back in future Raider titles.
