10 Things Everybody Hates About AMAZING Video Games
3. Miles & MJ Stealth Sections - Marvel's Spider-Man
Insomniac Games' Spider-Man ranks among the very best superhero video games of all time, save for those absolutely wack-ass stealth missions featuring both Miles Morales and MJ.
Because it's apparently too much to ask to simply play as Spidey for the entirety of his own campaign, we're periodically forced to play through a couple of deathly dull, excruciatingly clunky stealth asides featuring the duo.
Had Insomniac done something clever with them design-wise, then their inclusion as a mandatory gameplay element might be justified, but considering how mechanically simplistic they are, they feel like glorified side content that tripped and fell into the main story.
Though they're not particularly difficult, the instant-fail states upon being caught by enemies makes them last longer than they clearly should. In a game entirely concerned with the power fantasy of being Spider-Man, they feel massively out of place.
At least the recent Miles Morales spin-off seemed to get the hint, as there were no such stealth missions to be found.
