10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About Final Fantasy XV

4. Nobody Wants The Extended DLC They're Planning

If you want a bigger example of just how much Square don't know what Final Fantasy 'is' anymore, look to the future DLC plans they've announced.

Two words that have no place near a single-player Final Fantasy game; "Online co-op".

And not only that, but we're also getting some sort of character customisation option, which I can't help but feel is utterly pointless. It almost feels as though Squenix have always wanted to establish themselves in the MMO realm (having already tried with FF XI and XIV), the difference here being that they've already 'got people in' with the base game, allowing them to expand into a multiplayer experience with paid extras, when that's not what consumers originally bought into.

No, you don't have to purchase the optional multiplayer mode, but it further highlights the kitchen sink, 'jack of all trades, master of none' approach that FF XV has in abundance.
