10 Things Only People Who Own A PS4 Will Understand

8. Getting Jumpscared Whenever The Controller Speaker Makes a Sound

You'd be forgiven for not realising that the PS4 controller actually has a small speaker located just under the touch pad. Very few games choose to utilise it, and if you have your headphones plugged in directly to the controller then you'll never hear the little speaker make a sound. But not realising that there is a speaker, or forgetting that there is one, is how it gets you every time.

You'll be playing a game, and it doesn't even have to be a horror game, when suddenly the controller comes to life and emits a sound that vibrates the controller and startles you, causing you to almost drop your controller. When used correctly it is great for immersing the player into whatever game they may be enjoying, but more often than not it'll simply make you jump.

It's even worse on the PS4 exclusive, Dreams. In Dreams levels are created by players, meaning that they can make the controller play any sound they wish. So keep that in mind if you're ever playing Dreams, because it's caught me off guard countless times before.
