10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Last Of Us
9. Uncharted's Nolan North Plays David
This one is a bit of an “Oh wow” moment, even for avid video game fans. Perhaps you’re big on the inner workings of the industry, maybe you’re a fan of certain voice actors.
Most know that Troy Baker and Nolan North dominate the male video game roles, playing characters such as Nathan Drake, Booker Dewitt, Deadpool and plenty of nameless protagonists. What you might not know, though, is that Nolan North plays David, the psychopathic cannibal, in The Last Of Us.
This comes as somewhat of a surprise because usually Nolan North plays large, explosive characters with lots of enthusiasm. Arguably, even his most famous roles, such as Nathan Drake, sound pretty similar to his own voice. In The Last Of Us, however, he goes all out in regard to direction and execution.
He plays a creepy, cunning and sinister cult leader who changes as the winter season progresses. He showcases a softer, more vulnerable tone to begin and as he’s revealed to be a monster, his demeanour changes.
For all of Nolan North’s roles, David is definitely some of his greatest work.
