5. The Warriors: Jailbreak

Rockstar's games 2005 expansion of The Warriors mythology is widely celebrated due to its series of missions that act as a prequel to the events of the film however what happens afterwards is far less publicised. Filling that void is The Warriors: Jailbreak, a brief four part comic book series by Erik Henriksen which was distributed by Dynamite Comics.

Released in 2009, the story picks up not too far removed from the aftermath of the gang returning home to Coney and focuses on a plot to spring the imprisoned Ajax from prison after his arrest in the movie.

Featuring an ongoing feud between the hot-headed inmate and a Baseball Fury in a neighbouring cell alongside sub-plots such as Rembrandt's continued quest to be an artist and Swan's tempestuous relationship with Mercy after she leaves him behind for a older, much richer gentleman, it's an underrated continuation of their exploits and can be found online for all to see.
