9. Playstation Now's Store Prices
Kotaku/SonySo the entire back catalogues for all the previous Sony consoles are going to be on-hand, and for a cheap monthly fee we'll be able to connect and download them? That's BRILLIANT. The idea of a 'Netflix for games' is a genius one, and one that every gamer simultaneously lost their nut over when the idea of replaying everything from Tekken 3 to SSX Tricky came about. Oh, but then we found out that the service was actually more Netflixian than we thought and content was to be streamed to your console from a server hub, meaning graphics were dependant on your connection, and as for precise command inputs? Scratch them off the list. That's not the worst though, the real nail in the coffin of the service before it's even out of beta testing, is the pricing structure. Four HOURS for $4.99, or $14.99 for just over a month?! We can buy the discs at retail for any number of games that are more than a year or two old, all for almost a quarter of the price of the 90 day $29.99 option. At the minute the whole thing is ludicrous, and serves as a big way for Sony to mine your nostalgic goldmine for all its worth.
