4. Mass Effect 3's Ending
EAProbably the most well known entry on this list, the ending of ME3 managed to simultaneously reign down an entire sky of middle fingers upon the fans, whilst also conjuring up enough hatred to propel EA into 2012's number one spot for 'Worst Company In America' by Consumerist. It's no surprise though, especially being that you needed only type the game's name into Google to see any number of critics publishing very lengthy pieces about just how many things were promised to be in the game, only for the final product to feature none of them. None of the choices you made throughout the game mattered in those final few moments, and upwards of 100 hours spent practically living another life as Commander Shepard were condensed into three differently coloured options on screen. Oh and did we mention the requisite plot-points and narrative required to make
any sense out of this finale were sold separately? Yeah, Mass Effect 4 is going to have to be something incredible indeed.
