10 Times Silent Hill Was Absolutely Terrifying

3. Robbie The Rabbit Points - Silent Hill 4: The Room

In the second half of Silent Hill 4: The Room, there are two scenes that signal when bodily waste is about to hit the fan for its protagonist - both of which are on this list. What€™s remarkable about this first signal isn€™t that it involves a creepy stuffed animal, which is an obvious warning sign in all of horror fiction, but rather what this creature symbolises for Henry and the player. At the start of the second half of the game, Henry is the final person who Walther Sullivan wants to sacrifice, and the world around him becomes an increasingly darker place. It doesn't help Henry in knowing that, if he looks through the peephole to Eileen Galvin's room, he'll see her bloodstained Robbie the Rabbit pointing at him. This scene is particularly surprising because the stuffed rabbit previously had its back facing Henry every time he spied on Eileen. While the rabbit poses no threat to Henry, it foreshadows two things: Henry's situation is now dire, and the game will become more difficult for the player as a result.
