Handsome Jack is a true sociopath who loves to manipulate people, use them for his own benefit, and then throw them away like a broken toy when they're no longer of use to him. However, ask any Borderlands' fans what they think of him, and they will usually tell you he's a really awesome guy.

This is because, for all his lying and cheating and his numerous attempts at killing you and your friends, the man's charismatic persona is just too irresistible. Whether he insults you, taunts you, or straight up threatens you, he always does so with the flair of a true showman. His dialogue in the games, especially in Borderlands 2, is astoundingly good, which is pretty impressive considering he's a major antagonist and tags along with your crew for the majority of game time, never dropping the quality of his quips even by a small margin.

There's a reason why Jack is considered one of the greatest villains in video game history. And it's certainly not because he turned his daughter into an enslaved satellite system.
