3. Star Wars Rogue Squadron 4
There's no shortage of Star Wars fans in the gaming community, despite the recent shutdown of LucasArts as a game studio. For years, fans have been begging for all kinds of sequels to a variety of Star Wars spin-offs, including 'Star Wars Republic Commando 2' and 'Star Wars Battlefront 3'. Whilst the developers at 'DICE' have released a teaser trailer for an upcoming Battlefront game - exciting many old school gamers that played the previous instalments - there has been no word of another Rogue Squadron game since the closure of 'Factor 5'. Factor 5 had developed the previous games, the latest instalment having been released on the Nintendo GameCube. Due to the games' popularity, it was no surprise that the team had started developing another Rogue Squadron - this time for the Nintendo Wii - although after their studio was closed down the project was cancelled. It is a shame that fans were so close to having their wishes fulfilled and that no other developers appear to have picked up the project. As with the F-Zero franchise, a modern Star Wars Rogue Squadron game could most definitely benefit from the Wii U's technology and would please a great deal of the die-hard Star Wars fans.
