10 Unconfirmed Video Games We Know Are In Development

Another "secret" that everyone and their grandmother knows about, is the existence of a new Bioshock game. It's been six years since Bioshock Infinite, and a mysterious studio owned by 2K Interactive is apparently hard at work on the next instalment.

Jason Schreier penned a fascinating exposé last year about the development of Mafia III at 2K, and what the development team has done since that game's release. In that piece, Schreier mentioned that the Mafia III team was being shuffled around like a deck of cards, with some of the personnel being moved next door to work on the unannounced Bioshock game.

It's unclear how far along the project is - it may even straddle this console generation and the next. According to the report mentioned above, the development team was being very tight-lipped and secretive while it figured out the core of the game, which suggests it's nowhere near ready.

Naturally the most pertinent question is, where does it take place? While Bioshock and its sequel took place under the sea, Bioshock: Infinite took place in the clouds. Perhaps the next game will look to change the entire formula and dynamic, and forego lighthouses altogether. Only time will tell, but we can hope there's no creepy Lutece twins.
