10 Unused Villains Who Should Be In The Next Batman Video Game

5. Philo Zeiss

If the Spook didn’t make you think ‘who the hell is that’, then the forgotten and underrated Philo Zeiss surely will.

An assassin and bodyguard, Zeiss was traumatised by the death of his parents and – rather than become a vigilante thanks to a caring butler and the wealth of his family’s legacy – was brought up by the Sicilian Mafia, where he agreed to have surgery performed on his spinal column and optic nerves to make his perception and reflexes on par with Superman’s.

Obsessed with defeating Batman in combat to the point where it has become his Achilles heel, Zeiss wears a pair of goggles – wired directly to his frontal lobe – which allow him to record and analyse all of Batman’s movements and tactics, making him a forbidding and challenging mercenary equal to Gotham’s Dark Knight.

The confrontation with Mister Freeze was the best boss battle in the Arkham franchise thanks to players needing to use all their gadgets and different strategies to take him down, and Philo Zeiss could easily be a recurring rogue with the same evil power of forcing players to use their wits.
