10 Upcoming 2019 Video Games You Could Totally Miss
8. MediEvil
Sir Dan might not be a PlayStation mascot on the level of Crash Bandicoot or Spyro The Dragon, but his popularity has lasted long enough to secure him a remake of his original game.
Still, the fact he’s here and is unlikely to top sales charts the way the N. Sane and Reignited Trilogies did tells you all you need to know about his place in the world.
We pretty much know what to expect, as it’s the only game here which is a remake rather than a bona fide new release. Link’s Awakening was one of the most anticipated titles this year though and enjoyed a successful launch, so MediEvil is still well worth checking out, whether you played the original or not.
This is the golden age of nostalgia, after all. Remakes are hotter property than ever right now.
This game is unlikely to change the franchise's standing much, but if it does well enough to get an entirely new game, perhaps developers Other Ocean and Emeryville can take some inspiration from Santa Monica Studio and make Sir Dan a Goliath of the genre once more.
