10 Upcoming Games To Keep You Busy Until Watch Dogs
7. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (March 18)
One of the more controversial games of 2014 is Ground Zeroes, which is essentially a prologue to the full Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, likely due for release next year. The controversy stems largely around the fact that the game is extremely short, and IGN recently confirmed in a playtest that the titular mission can be beaten first-time in between 90-120 minutes, while speed-runners will likely find themselves able to finish it within 5 minutes. The negative backlash has caused the game to receive steady price drops over the last few weeks, to the point that in most countries and on most platforms, you can buy it for less than half the price of a normal game. It's worth mentioning that IGN did mention in their playthrough that the extra missions can easily make the game last 8 hours, and if you just play through the single Ground Zeroes mission, you're essentially cheating yourself. Another major question mark is Kiefer Sulthernland replacing David Hayter as the voice of Big Boss: IGN commented that though Sutherland does a competent job, he doesn't really get much to say throughout the game. It's easy to expect the game to be a disappointment, but there's no way most Metal Gear Solid fans won't be there on day one.
