8. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD (March 18)

The term "HD remake" can be a bit dubious: we've all seen various efforts to remaster classic games that haven't turned out well (the Silent Hill "HD" collection is particularly appalling), and even the better ones often feel a bit pointless given how these graphics lag considerably behind the visuals we're seeing nowadays. Still, it's been over a decade since Final Fantasy X and its girly spin-off X-2 were released, and the gameplay footage released of the HD makeover certainly sells itself as being worthy of that term. In addition to the impressive visual presentation, extra gameplay from international versions of the game has been restored, and some of that classic Final Fantasy music has reportedly been remixed as well. Given that for many Final Fantasy X is seen as the last truly captivating game in the series, it's a great way to while away the hours counting down to Watch Dogs, and though X-2 gets a lot of flak for being silly and frothy, it's still a lot of goofy fun to play.
