10 Upcoming Games To Keep You Busy Until Watch Dogs
3. Child Of Light (April 30)
Another title from Watch Dogs' developer Ubisoft is Child of Light, the massively-hyped platformer RPG pitting players as Aurora, a young girl taken from her home, who must restore light to the world from the evil Queen of the Night. What's more, the game has a co-operative component, allowing players to take on the role of Aurora's companion Igniculus the firefly, who can help out during battles. Simply, this seems to be a brilliant blend of Final Fantasy and Studio Ghibli, with light platforming thrown in for good measure. More so than any other game this year, Child of Light should help further the argument that games are art: though it boasts a strictly 2D style, the presentation and art direction do more than the most photo-realistic graphics ever could, and the music is pretty snazzy, too.
