10 Upcoming Games That Have Already Made One HUGE Mistake

7. Back-To-Back Black Ops Games - Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Microsoft recently confirmed that 2025's installment into the Call of Duty franchise would be Black Ops 7 - a surprising revelation given that Black Ops 6 only released last year.

The franchise is typically known for cycling through three key development teams - Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer Games - ensuring that each has roughly three years to produce a new title.

Yet Treyarch is back with a new Call of Duty just a year later, and so many are naturally skeptical of the game's quality before we've seen even a single sliver of gameplay, that Activision might've had Treyarch rush a half-assed project through development.

Given that 2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III released just a year after Modern Warfare II and was infamously criticised for feeling like a glorified DLC, the concerns certainly feel justified - even with Raven Software assisting Treyarch on Black Ops 7.

Sure, Black Ops is the most popular branding of the Call of Duty franchise, but having the same developer crank out two annual releases in a row - something the series has never done before - seems like a massive risk.
