A chance job posting gave this one away, as on Infinity Ward's own website, a listing for a temporary Narrative Scripter went up, only for the description to mention working on "multiple next gen platforms".

If you're keeping score on Call of Duty, Infinity Ward are next up to bat on Activision's rotating board of developers, and though it's assumed 2019 will be their year, COD could easily be cross-generational like Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The alternative is that Infinity Ward's game doesn't drop in 2019 and we move into launch title territory (again, assuming 2020 is the release date of the PS5), but either way, whatever the company are working on is going to be on PS5.
