Much like all the other games on this list, Call of Duty has no reason to be made into a movie. Whilst you might think that the large player base will give it a good shot, that will ultimately work against it.
The majority of people buy the game to play online, leaving the single-player campaign as a passing thought. So, when most people pick up your game to completely segregate themselves from the story aspects and focus in on the gameplay, why would you adapt that game into a medium in which the story is critical?
It is not like it'll be some homage to the fans. The stories in the games are often so lacklustre that it is all simply a contrivance you have you shoot in a cool location. The movie will be the same - an action movie lacking any real heart to capture the fans of the game.
