10 Upcoming Video Games In HUGE Trouble
3. Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Remake
Gamers the world over rejoiced when it was announced last year that a ground-up remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was in development for new-gen platforms and PC.
The potential of giving the legendary 20-year-old RPG a contemporary makeover speaks for itself, yet earlier this summer reports emerged that the project wasn't coming along as smoothly as we all hoped.
In July, the game was reported to be "delayed indefinitely" after developer Aspyr fired the remake's art and design directors. Following Sony and Lucasfilm's apparently negative response to an internal demo, the studio decided that the gameplay simply wasn't where they wanted it to be.
Since then, Saber Interactive are said to have taken over development, with the same source claiming the game may not release until as late as 2025.
As much as every gamer with a pulse wants this remake to work out, it's clear that the project's struggling at best, if not in outright danger of never making it to storefronts. Keep your fingers, toes, and everything else crossed for it.
