10 Upcoming Video Games That Are Already Doomed
6. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Action-RPG sequel Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was officially revealed in March 2019, with original developer Hardsuit Labs planning to launch the game sometime in 2020.
It's now mid-2025 and we're still waiting to play Bloodlines 2, which has been delayed a grand total of six times so far, most recently being pushed from the first half of 2025 to this coming October.
These delays are largely attributed to the dismissal of Hardsuit Labs in 2021, after which they were replaced by The Chinese Room (Still Wakes the Deep), who decided to rebuild the vast majority of the game.
Though The Chinese Room has stated that formal development is complete and the game is now in the polishing stages, it's also fair to say that the scale and ambition of this project is far from the short, confined titles they've made before, and so it wouldn't be remotely surprising if they've bitten off more than they can chew.
Plus, with reports that this rebooted version of the game will be toning down the immersive sim elements, it may very well end up alienating the original game's most hardcore fans, which won't end well.
