10 Upcoming Video Games That Are Getting Delayed

8. Little Nightmares III

Grand Theft Auto VI
Supermassive Games

The fact that Little Nightmares III exists at all is nothing short of a miracle, honestly, because the short-lived series seemed like it was well and truly over.

In 2021, original developer Tarsier Studios confirmed that the second entry into the fantastical puzzle-platformer franchise would be its last, due to the company being acquired by Embracer Group and the series' rights still belonging to Bandai Namco.

However in August 2023, Little Nightmares III was unexpectedly announced, with Supermassive Games (Until Dawn) taking over development duties from Tarsier.

Though initially announced for a 2024 release, the long-awaited threequel was ultimately delayed to 2025 last May, and word has been relatively quiet on the game since.

Quiet enough, in fact, that some fans have raised concerns about the game's possible cancellation, though there's certainly no wider indication of that.

It's looking likely, though, that the title will see another delay in 2025 and probably end up releasing in 2026. Yet given that fans waited four years between the first two games, another year isn't really a huge deal.
