10 Upcoming Video Games That Are Getting Delayed
7. Fairgame$
Remember Fairgame$? Described as a "competitive heist experience" by Sony, the game was announced in May 2023 with a glossy CGI reveal trailer, though almost two years later we still haven't seen a single shred of actual in-engine gameplay.
Though reports indicate that Sony's latest live service title is testing positively internally, it also seems all-but-guaranteed that the game will miss its intended 2025 release window.
Earlier this year, Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb reported that Fairgame$ was being delayed into 2026, though didn't shed any further light on why that might be.
This obviously hasn't been confirmed by Sony, who may ultimately be smart to let the stink surrounding their recent live service flop, Concord, dissipate before reintroducing Fairgame$, hopefully with a full gameplay blow-out which lives up to the game's internal reception.
That said, given the precariousness of the live service space right now, making a quality game is really only half the battle.
Even with revered Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs developer Jade Raymond spearheading development, finding a community to embrace Fairgame$ is another matter altogether.
