If there's any company that's dominated the story-driven, single-player experience in recent years, it's definitely Naughty Dog. The company have been setting the bar for years now, whether that has been through their creation of the quirky mascot platformer Crash Bandicoot, their iconic action-adventure franchise Uncharted, and especially through their groundbreaking creation of The Last Of Us.

The company looks to be re-encroaching on that territory as they begin to ramp up production on The Last Of Us: Part II, the new trailer beginning to show off the ambitious direction the studio appears to to be going in. The game looks simply astonishing, featuring remarkable graphics, frantic combat and more of the gripping story that made the original such a landmark of modern gaming.

It's safe to say this is shaping up to be the sequel fans have been clambering for since the shocking finale of its predecessor, diving into a morbid tale of post-apocalyptic cults and an older, more battle-hardened Ellie.

If what we've seen is anything to go on, it looks likely that the follow-up could be just as big of a hit as the first game. Naughty Dog step up their work each and every time they drop a new title, and The Last Of Us: Part II does not look to be bucking the trend.
