10 Upcoming Video Games That Will DEFINITELY Be Cross-Gen
7. Ghost Of Tsushima
Ghost Of Tsushima has long been labelled a PS4 game, but time is running out and with its release date still TBA, it’s much more likely to straddle the generations now. What might have been intended as the last great exclusive for the PS4 may turn into the first good exclusive for the PS5.
The game promises a compelling open world, where players take control of the last samurai on the island of Tsushima after the Mongol invasion of Japan. If the map is big enough, it could be the first game to show off the PS5’s massive processing power.
It’s clear that the game has been built with more of a concept in mind than most games; the idea that it’ll take you inside the mind of a samurai is more than just a gimmick.
Shedloads of research into Japanese culture has gone into the game, and waypoints have been removed to allow for more freedom. This pushes boundaries, which is exactly what a launch title should do.
It might end up being far too ambitious for its own good, or it may end up pushing the PS4 to its limits and showing off just what the PS5 is capable of.
