10 Upcoming Video Games To Look Out For In February 2017
4. LEGO Worlds
What is it: Traveller's Tales has been building Lego worlds for almost 12 years, such as Lego Star Wars, Lego Dimensions, and Lego Infinity. Now they give the creative building power to you in Lego Worlds.
Ostensibly a Lego-fied take on Minecraft, Lego Worlds gives players the ability to explore a Lego world full of varied settings such as volcanos or the moon, meet the townspeople of procedurally generated villages, and encounter the native denizens like orcs, octopi, and ostriches.
Players can use an assortment of tools and brush patterns to create their own designs brick by brick. Where it separates from Minecraft is the actual crafting tedium is all but removed, instead turning the game into a collectable exploration hunt. Picking up a minifig or vehicle allows you to summon it anywhere for absolutely no cost.
Eagle-eyed gamers may notice this game has been on Steam's Early Access for 18 months already. The console release rolls in all of the updates so far, such as grappling hooks, online multiplayer, caverns, and underwater exploration, into a full fledged retail release.
When's it coming out: The console retail release comes 24th February. Steam users have been able to buy the early access version since June 2015.
