5. Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk
What is it: Berserk is a legendary dark fantasy manga series by Kentaro Miura, known for being rife with graphic violence and sexual content. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk follows the story of the manga while adapting the gameplay into a "Musou" hack-and-slash, a style of gameplay seen in Dynasty Warriors, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, and Hyrule Warriors.
Players can either follow the story as the protagonist Guts and his companions through the arcs of the anime, taking on massive boss monsters and following cutscene adaptations of the series' most pivotal moments, or enter the Infinite Eclipse mode and take on endless waves of enemies with a partner until they eventually falter to the legions that outnumber them. New to the Warriors style of game is the Transformation, where specific characters can enter a more powerful state to eradicate an even larger amount of foes that stand before them.
Berserk and the Band of the Hawk holds little back in the game's story mode and keeps to a faithful adaptation of even the series darkest, incredibly grim moments. Those of the faint heart may want to skip this one.
When's it coming out: 21st February for stateside players and the 24th for European regions.
