10 Upcoming Video Games To Look Out For In May 2017

5. Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers

What is it: One of the only Switch games on the list this month, Ultra Street Fighter 2 is absolutely and utterly the final, end-all be-all edition of Street Fighter 2 (for now...).

As the name implies, USF2 adds two new characters to the roster - Evil Ryu, controlled by his dark hadou, and Violent Ken, brainwashed by the evil Shadaloo. The addition of these two mark the first characters added to the game since Super Turbo introduced Akuma, all the way back in 1994. It's not just a simple character update, either. Gone is the wonky balance from 2008's HD Remix: USF2 also includes a brand new rebalancing for the entire roster, even going as far as to alter throw techs to a more modern SF4 implementation.

Fans of the original sprite work can swap to a classic 4:3 resolution, while easy inputs for newcomers make inputting Spinning Piledrivers a breeze. On top of all of that, Ultra Street Fighter 2 also packs in an art gallery, a new cooperative team mode, and worldwide online matchmaking.

When's it coming out: Ultra Street Fighter 2 releases 26 May for Nintendo Switch.

Fan of professional wrestling and fighting game enthusiast. While he insists Street Fighter V isn't as bad as you think, he will agree that it's kinda crap anyways.
