10 Valid Concerns About 2018's Biggest Video Games
1. Nintendo Labo Being An Expensive Novelty
Nintendo Labo is one of the strangest and most unique concepts ever seen in video games. Somehow, Nintendo is managing to sell cardboard boxes at a premium rate. In all seriousness, Labo looks intriguing - it's an exercise in creativity, allowing you to play what a series of games using a build-it-yourself cardboard kit.
People are excited about what appears to be Nintendo's latest innovation. It's compatible with the Nintendo Switch, already an incredibly successful machine, and looks likely to appease the child in everyone. However that doesn't mean it'll be any good. Whether Labo is a hit or a novelty is obviously yet to be seen, but there's something to be said for spending a lot of money on what essentially amounts to some cardboard.
When the dust settles and people have spent a fair bit of time with Labo and the games it's offering, it'll be interesting to see what gamers make of it. If it turns out to be a really expensive set of party games that require you to wear some cardboard boxes, people might be disappointed. Or it could be Nintendo's next masterstroke. We don't have long to find out.
