10 Valid Concerns About 2018's Biggest Video Games

5. Crackdown 3's Scaled Down Destructibility

Microsoft

When it was first revealed, Crackdown 3, the third in a series that, quite frankly, was a surprise hit in the first plave, looked to be making the most of powerful next-generation tech.

Microsoft demoed a fully destructible game world, one rich with potential and oozing with swagger. This was Microsoft's big move to show just how powerful their hardware - and their cloud servers - actually were.

Since then, we've barely seen the game. Crackdown 3 was conspicuously absent for a long time before finally resurfacing last year. Fans were understandably excited to see it - except, it barely looked like the same game. That frantic, full scale destructibility was almost completely gone.

Instead, it looked like the personality that had once served the series so well had dried up and replaced it with a generic action game.

Considering Crackdown 3 has been delayed twice already and Microsoft have said the destructible environments are now limited to multiplayer modes online, it's looking likely that this game might just need to come out and go away again.
