10 Video Game "Super Soldiers" That Were Completely Useless

1. Resident Evil 2: Mr X

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Jon Bernthal

Mr. X is perhaps the most terrifying enemy of Resident Evil 2. Both in the original and the remake he is an enemy that is immune to bullets, knives, grenades, helicopters, and all other Umbrella Corporation Biological weapons, aka Zombies.

His slow methodical approach to Claire and Leon terrified fans around the world, but while he can be intimidating and a hassle in Resident Evil 3's remake, he also kinda sucks as a mass-killing weapon.

Mr. X is only effective at killing Leon or Claire if he grabs them, and he moves a the pace of a Zamboni meaning he can just be jogged past. With some careful weaving between rooms, he can be delayed from reaching the player for several minutes. Some players have even just avoided him completely the first time they met him, lowering the tension he caused players in 1998.

And worst of all for some reason, Mr. X is very polite and won't follow players into the safe rooms sprinkled across the map. This allows for some respite and allows players to heal up, rearm, and just avoid the super mutant all together until he is killed off by a rocket launcher used by Leon.
