Although Super Smash Bros. is mostly played by friends looking to beat each other up with classic Nintendo characters, the games also feature dedicated single-player modes where you can test your skills against beefed-up AI opponents.

In Super Smash Bros. 4, the most basic of these modes is Classic, which starts off with the player battling different characters in the roster and ends with one of the hardest multi-stage boss fights in the series that will make you lose all of your progress if you slip up even once.

The Master Hand is the recurring antagonist of pretty much all Smash Bros. games. However, in Super Smash Bros. 4, he is enhanced with a special second form, called Master Core, which brings this already difficult encounter to a whole new level.

The Master Core has multiple stages in which it constantly shapes into gargantuan new opponents, each with its own set of bizarre mechanics and challenges.

Without good knowledge of each form, it can be nearly impossible to defeat him, which is absolutely brutal, seeing as losing to the Master Core at any stage will immediately end your Classic run and force you to start over.
