10 Video Game Bosses That Made Us Rage Quit (2023 Edition)

One of the most highly anticipated and acclaimed games of 2022, God Of War Ragnarök once again put players in the battle-weary boots of Kratos for another character-driven action epic. Much like the previous game, the narrative was emotionally captivating, the presentation was cinematically epic, and the action was satisfyingly visceral, offering up a selection of challenging boss fights throughout the game.

None of these battles, however, would be as deadly as Gna, The Valkyrie Queen.

By far the most difficult boss in the game, the leader of Odin’s forces is a fight that’s only unlocked after completing the game. Once players first encounter her in the Crucible, they’ll be warned that they should only attack when they think they’re ready. This warning shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Incredibly aggressive and possessing an unpredictable move set, players will need to stay on their toes if they mean to avoid Gna’s brutal combos and unblockable attacks. Dealing massive amounts of damage at a time, one misstep could result in a quick defeat.

Even with fully levelled weapons and armour, slaying Gna demands a mastery of the game’s combat system and abilities if players even want to stand a chance against her.
