2. Yu-Yevon - Final Fantasy X
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYKzQpN_YoY This is one boss that has the overwhelming feeling of a studio trolling its audience, a surprise given that one would assume Square Enix would really want to make a splash with their inaugural Final Fantasy game on the PS2. While for the first 35-40 hours of its play-time, this is a great game, it underwhelms at the last hurdle, when we're faced with one of the dullest, most uninspired final bosses in video game history, Yu-Yevon. After the vast, sprawling, epic plot that had us meeting hundreds of fantastic characters, not to mention killing a lot of them, it comes down to...an enemy who never even attacks you, but just sits there healing himself every turn, taunting the player as he does so. After the awesomeness of all the prior boss fights, this feels like such a lame comedown; he's not at all difficult to beat, but just infuriating in his lack of imagination. A terrible, terrible way to end any video game.
