10 Video Game Bosses That Used Your Best Move Against You

6. Kessler - Infamous

mass effect commander shepherd
Sucker Punch

Spoilers for Infamous:

Encountering this maniacal villain throughout the game and witnessing his electrical attacks certainly seem familiar, almost too familiar. Eagle-eyed players quickly notice that this guy seems to possess all the same gifts as the protagonist, Cole MacGrath, except that he seems far more in-tune with his abilities.

The game eventually reveals why this antagonist is giving you deja vu, and its because he is the protagonist. Yes, Kessler is an alternate version of Cole from the future, who travels back to the past to make sure his younger self is prepared for the devastation that happened to his world.

Of course, seeing as this antagonist is one and the same as the hero, they come equipped with the same superpowers, fighting fire with fire... or, more realistically, electricity with electricity.

Some of the specific abilities shared between them included overload bursts, shockwaves, shock grenades, thunder drops, and more. But, Kessler takes it even further with additional abilities of his own, like time travel, phantasm, and flash-stepping.

With all these abilities, the electrokinesis showdown between Kessler and Cole is guaranteed to be explosive.
