10 Video Game Bosses That Used Your Best Move Against You
5. Nega - Gravity Circuit
The recently released Gravity Circuit is the kind of incredible 2D platformer that feels like a true descendant of the iconic Mega Man series - certainly more so than the much-maligned Mighty No. 9.
It's an action-packed adventure with a tonne of epic boss battles and one stands out thanks to its connection to the hero.
Nega provides some big exposition for the backstory of the main character, Kai. They reveal that the Gravity Circuit, which gives the protagonist their power, used to be theirs, meaning they've got the same skill and abilities as the player.
This leads to a battle as Nega seeks to test if Kai is strong enough to destroy the Commander Circuit, with Nega's fighting style being very familiar to the player. The showdown is tense and quick-paced and really tests your reflexes.
Besides the similar fighting style, Nega also uses all of your available power-ups at once, literally throwing the moves you've used to conquer your foes right back at you.
It just goes to show that you should always respect your predecessors; otherwise, they'll kick your butt with the moves they knew first.
