10 Video Game Companions Everyone Hated At First (But Ended Up Loving)
6. Ricky Lukens - Grand Theft Auto V
The Los Santos population from Grand Theft Auto V are all terrible people.
Aside from the obviously sociopathic criminals you play as, even the regular citizens are vain and self-centered, and they seem to care about nothing but themselves.
This said, some of them, like Ricky Lukens, can still capture your heart, even if they annoy the living crap out of you in the beginning.
Most people know Ricky as the irritating man-child from Lifeinvader, who unwittingly helps Michael infiltrate the company because he's too lazy to do his own job.
After the mission, he is fired from Lifeinvader due to his negligence (no doy) but manages to find Michael and convince him to let him work as a hacker on heists.
Obviously, Ricky is just as annoying working under Michael. He's terrible at his job, and you'll definitely hate him for making everything harder.
However, if you stick by him, Ricky will actually get better at his job. You'll see him pick up new tricks with each heist, becoming more efficient while expecting the same pay, making him the best hacker in the game, on top of being your annoying but lovable buddy who's been with you every step of the way.
