10 Video Game Developers No Longer Making Games For YOU
2. Bioware
What They've Done: Mass Effect, Star Wars: KotoR, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age
What They're Up to Now: Leaving Mass Effect fans wanting, still trying to make Anthem work
If SquareEnix were the kings of the Eastern RPG story-telling front, then Bioware were undoubtedly the Western counterparts.
From as way back as the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series, through to Star Wars and the two Knights of the Old Republic games, up to the original Mass Effect and Dragon Age trilogies.
Yet you'll notice I said "were", not "are. Recent times have seen a massive dip in the quietly content from Bioware, though it's not wholly their fault. Pressures from high overlord... sorry, "publisher" EA have seen games like Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem be rushed out to negative reception.
Hopefully not all is lost though. The Mass Effect series may be on current hiatus, but a Dragon Age sequel wouldn't go amiss. Anthem has gone back to the drawing board, with hopefully more time in the oven proving there's a decent game in there somewhere.
Here's hoping Bioware get out of their slump. I can't be the only person that likes Anthem...
