10 Video Game Franchises In Denial About Being Over

Earthworm Jim centres around a worm who uses a robotic suit to save the galaxy from the likes of Bob the Goldfish, PsyCrow, Heck the Cat, Professor Monkey-for-a-Head, and Queen Slug for a Butt.

Despite the fact Earthworm Jim could've been sold purely on its zany humour and wacky premise, it was an excellent platformer due to its inventive puzzles, kickass music, and slick gameplay. Even though tv adaptations of video games usually don't turn out well, the Earthworm Jim cartoon was hilariously entertaining.

But after Earthworm Jim 3D tanked, all interest in the groovy hero seemingly disappeared overnight.

But the wisecracking worm wasn't done yet. Not only did Interplay Entertainment announce Earthworm Jim 4 is on the horizon, it will be released on a brand-new console, the Amico.

But here's the problem. The game was announced ten years ago and it's still not out. Worse still, we have no idea when the Amico is meant to be released. Considering EJ4 has been delayed by a decade and there's almost nothing to show for it, all signs point to this "comeback" being a disaster.
