10 Video Game Good Deeds Worth Doing Every Time

9. Vault-Tec Here! - Fallout 4

Red Dead Redemption 2
Bethesda

The intro to Fallout 4 features one of the game's most easily punchable characters, the Vault-Tec Rep.

This yellow coat-clad mouthpiece for Fallout's most evil company arrives at your doorstep to sign your family up for the nearby Vault 111. His appearance ultimately allows you to escape the bombs shortly after, but his fake positivity and undying devotion to his company still make most people want to shove the door in his face.

But hey, at least there's no way he's still alive 200 years later, right?

Well, it turns out the same Vault-Tec guy has survived the bombing as a ghoul! You can meet him in the hotel in Goodneighbor, where he explains he has been kicked out of every settlement for being obnoxiously annoying.

This is where most players may think "deserved" and leave him to wallow in his misery. However, if you show compassion towards the rep, you will gain the option to recruit him into your settlement, and this is objectively the best decision you can make.

When assigned to a general store, the salesman will sell a powerful, one-of-a-kind armor piece that you can't get anywhere else!

He might be miserable, but his store's stock sure isn't!
