10 Video Game Little Guys Who Had No Right To Win

6. Clementine (The Walking Dead)

Until it finally happens in real life, we may never know just how hard it is to survive a zombie apocalypse. TV shows, films and games have shown us that it's pretty tough though; The Walking Dead in particular paints a pretty grim picture of what life would be like were the dead to rise from their graves over night. While the TV series and comic book line followed the same story with slight differences, Telltale dared to go a different way with their game set in the Walking Dead universe. They introduced a whole new set of characters and tasked the player with using their own moral guidelines to help these characters through the Walker-infested world. Of particular note are the two playable characters - Lee and Clementine. Clementine, a young girl, was a supporting character throughout the first season but she was the emotional core of the games; helping her survive this brutal period was what kept us going. While other children survived the apocalypse, as shown by the likes of Carl and Sophia from the main series, few have adapted in the way Clementine has. When she became the playable character in Season Two of the game, her instincts to survive far exceeded those of an average child and she refuses to shy away from the tough decisions or conflicts. That's not to say that every child would roll over and give up in the same situation but you have to imagine that few would cope as well as Clementine. The fact that she's still surviving several years into the apocalypse is a real mark of her maturity, bravery and determination.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
